Eleanor and Park
Literary Luminary
1. Page 9
paragraph one
This part of the  book was funny to me because it was cute that Park let Eleanor sit down but he did it in such a aggressive way.

2.Pages 27&28
Paragraphs 7,8,9,1,&2
This part is weird because it explains how Eleanor's sister hated Richie but is now calling him dad. I find this weird and wonder whether she wants to call him dad or is forced.

3.Page 68
paragraphs 5&6
This part of the book is upsetting because Park goes to apologize to Eleanor and Richie ruins it for her. Then when he sister asks if that was her boyfriend, Eleanor has to reply that hes just a boy.

4.Page 40
paragraph 5-7
This part is when Park gives Eleanor a comic to borrow and he feels like shes not going to give it back but she returns it. I like this part of the book because this is where i feel their relationship actually started to bloom.

For this week in invetigated the cost of a funeral because Alice was very close to death. The first thing I searched up was how much the casket would cost. They range from about 2,000-10,000. It really depends how what kind of casket you buy. Cemetery's using cost like 7,000-10,000 including burial in the cemetery, services at the funeral home, and  headstone. The cost of flowers and others would be extra depending how what and how much you get.

Side affects may vary discussion director

D1. Do you believe Alice has matured since the beginning of the book? I think that finally Alice has understood that 2 wrongs don't make a right but I don't think she will give up all of her bad ways.

2. Do you think Harvey's and Alice's relationship will blossom? I think their relationship will blossom because Alice has finally accepted that fact that she wants to be with Harvey. I still do believe there will be ups and downs but they can be able to get passed it.

3. How can you connect the book to your life? I can connect the book to my life because I've known people with can we and I know that it's a very difficult thing to go through.

4. Predict what the sequel of the book would be like? I think the sequel would be about Alice's and Harvey's relationship and I feel like it would give us some closure about the relationships with Alice, celest, Luke, and mindi.

5. How do you feel about the book and characters overall? I feel that the characters in the book had very bad personalities and attitudes. Not all of them such as Harvey or Natalie but most of them. I felt the book was fantastic and it taught us to know what's right and what's wrong.

Side affects may vary literary luminary

Pages 76-78 were important to me because it was when Alice asked Harvey to do her bucket list with her.

Page 84 is a thought provoking moment because it made me think of many different ways this thing with Erick could turn out and how it would hurt Harvey.

Page 107 is an intense moment because celesta says something mean about Alice and Alice over hears and it shows how much of a mean person celest can actually be.

Pages 109-113 is a omg moment because that's when Alice finds Tyson on the bathroom floor crying and he tells Alice that Luke kissed him. I did not expect that.

Passage of The Book Thief pg. 481-484
I thought this passage of the book was quite heart braking and hopeful at the same time. It says how Rudy wants to steal something to get back at the army for recruiting his father. Its heartbreaking because the passage shows the stress it was living in that time and how it pushed you to do wrong things. Its hopeful because it shows how Rudy overcame his desire to get revenge on the army and decides not to steal anything. I feel like in a time like this, its very hard to keep hope. Hope can make or brake a person, it is one of the most strongest things in the world.
"The stranger reached out, his bed-warmed hand taking her by the forearm. "Please."" pg.206

A Grey Day

The world was sagging.
The day was grey.
A beautiful thing
in some ways.
Tears in his eyes,
his love has died.
The love that kept him sane.
